Not Seeing the Red Flags

Just the other day, someone very dear to me was a victim of a scam and it reminded me of how easy it is to get influenced by others even when we have our inner voice and gut feeling that is telling us something isn’t right. I myself fell prey to scammers when I was in China a few years ago and have also made decisions that in retrospect were a bit suspect.

Listening to Our Inner Voice

We have all had moments when our inner voice is telling us something that we are unable to hear and moments when we are so blinded by our desire for something to work out that we don’t notice all the flags that are trying to get our attention. It is fair to say that we have all done this and we will all do this again. The challenge is in allowing ourselves to listen and pay attention to our guiding voice.

It is very easy to get lost in the thinking we are believing to be true in the moment. Be kind with yourself and listen for the quality of the feeling. The quality of our feelings during any situation will help guide us. I believe learning to hear our own inner guidance is one of the universal lessons we are all working on.

It has been my experience that when we allow ourselves to be present, in the moment, we encourage ourselves to listen more deeply to our inner voice of wisdom. But it is very easy to be misguided and to lose ourselves in the thinking we believe to be real. Once again, listen for the quality of the feeling.

We are all on our own journey and we all have access to the same spiritual intelligence to help guide our way. Only we can find our own truth by going inside ourselves and listening to our own wisdom. Our own common sense will always try to tell us when something doesn't feel right or when something feels incomplete.

Understanding how the mind works and that we are perpetually living in a world that is designed to misguide us into believing our experience is outside-in, when in fact it can only ever be inside-out, helps us to listen to our inner wisdom more easily. But we are fallible, we will inevitably make mistakes. So, understanding is one thing but the most important thing to remember is to be kind with ourselves and others. To recognize our own innocence in the process and the innocence of others.

The free introductory program I hope to reveal soon will go into detail on exactly that. It will describe exactly how we experience life, how our mind works, the role we play in the creation of our life and most importantly share an understanding that leads us all towards seeing the innocence in all of us.

Until next time,
